Welcome to the WTF blog ladies and gentlemen. Due to logistical issues as a part of the WTF’s XTreme Pandemonium tour I am unable to record this as a video blog. So for this week we’ll stick to the written word. This is it ladies and gentlemen. WTF’s Xtreme Consequences is just a few short days away. Coming at you live June 14, 2009 from the McKenzie Arena in Chattanooga, Tennessee. The Main Event of the night and a perennial match of the year candidate, the Xtreme Rumble. This year’s Xtreme Rumble sees the return to action of two former WTF World Champions: “The Bastard Icon” Eric Dillinger and “The Real Deal” Brad Bronson. With a record six former world champions plus the current champion Viking this is bound to be the greatest Xtreme Rumble yet. You will remember the amazing finish last year between Aramis and Andrew O’Reilly that pretty much cemented Andrew’s status as the 2008 wrestler of the year while also guaranteeing Aramis the World Title shot that earned him his record third World title Reign. What lies in store for the WTF in this years Xtreme Rumble. Of course we already know that the Rumble will bring use new tag team champions as Conner Lucas Tatum and Simply Simon of Mayhem Inc. vacated the titles on the last episode of Xtreme. With the Canadian title being defended in the title versus title match between World Champion Viking and Canadian Champion Shawn “The All Star” Anderson we have the potential of the Canadian title changing hands twice that night. Yet another historic first for the WTF. The title versus title match is Viking’s first major title defense since winning he WTF title at March Massacre from Aramis. Facing his long time rival The All Star, Viking is out to prove to everyone that his win over Aramis wasn’t a fluke. Viking fully intends to lead the WTF for the near future. I’ve been told that Viking is predicting that not only will he defeat Shawn Anderson, but he will also win the Xtreme Rumble as he will have to defend the Canadian title in the Rumble should he win it. Could we see the current WTF champion win the Rumble and thus leave the WTF World Title shot at Winter War 2009 up in the air? In other news, I announced on the last Xtreme that Fed Wars had ceased operations and that the WTF was looking for another partnership for inter company action. Yesterday, the owner of the Apex Wrestling Alliance, JC Barr, released a joint press release with WTF and ESN headquarters announcing that Wrestling’s Toughest Federation had joined the AWA. It is the hope of WTF officials that this exciting development will lead to even more exposure for the WTF and AWA as a whole. Stay tuned to WTF programming for developments. Casting a pall over these exciting developments and expectations is the news involving The Turkish monster. Later today, June 10, Aramis will be sentenced for his recent crimes. With a potential of multiple decades long sentences many WTF fans and employees wait with baited breath to see whether this will spell the end of the career of a WTF superstar. In other news I am told that Captain Sexy was seen once again at WTF Headquarters in Chicago. Could this mean a return for Darren Revel at the Xtreme Rumble? I don’t know about you, but that is just one more reason for me to watch this week. Speaking of possible returns, I am told by sources close to the man that former hobo Doc Halliday is contemplating a return to the ring. After winning the lottery and becoming one of the richest men in Canada, could Doc have finally realized that his true calling is in a WTF ring? Finally, coming back to Xtreme Consequences, “The Executioner” Jordan Keyser has been strangely quiet leading into his Insane Asylum match with “Majikal Mayhem” Vance Bonesteel. Many are taking this as a sign that Jordan has realized he’s bitten off more than he can chew, while die hard Keyser fans are claiming it is simply that Jordan sees no need to speak on the subject. They are confident Jordan means to prove himself in the only way that matters. In the center of the ring at Xtreme Consequences. That’s all for this edition of WTF The Blog. Join us again next time when we can hopefully return to our video format! --- Adam Effler |
